Levi Barnett Car Accident: On Thursday evening, July 27, 2023, Levi Barnett, a devoted husband and father who lived in Elkville, Illinois, suddenly passed away. On Friday, July 28th, a family member informed them that he had passed away.
What was Levi Barnett’s Cause of Death?
Following a collision on Highway 51 in Elkville on Thursday, July 27, one driver passed away and another received a ticket. Around 6:38 o’clock in the evening, Elkville police and deputies responded to the collision, according to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.

According to deputies, a maroon 2018 Ford Fusion driven by Salem resident Kristopher Moore, 18, was traveling south on Highway 51 when he made a left turn onto Royalton Road.
They claim that a 1978 Jeep being driven by Levi Barnett, 37, of Dowell, was traveling north on Highway 51 at the same time. According to deputies, the Fusion turned into the path of the Jeep, causing a collision.

The Jeep flipped over, and the body detached from the frame. According to them, Barnett and a young passenger were thrown from the Jeep. At the site, Barnett was identified as deceased.
Moore, his juvenile passenger, and Barnett’s juvenile passenger, according to the sheriff’s office, were all transported to a local hospital by ambulance. Moore received a ticket for failing to yield when turning left.
The road was closed for about 2.5 hours. The crash is being investigated by the sheriff’s office traffic crash reconstruction unit. The Elkville Police Department, Jackson County Ambulance Service, Jackson County Coroner’s Office, Elkville Fire Department, and Dowell Fire Department assisted at the scene.
