Country music legend and famous guitar and banjo player has passed away. Buck Trent died early Sunday, October 8, 2023. The news of a Buck Trent’s death was announced by his wife and mother of his children Jean.

He was 85-year-old, He was a 5-string banjo picker, down-home humorist, and entertainer extraordinaire at Buck Trent Country Music and an Entertainer at Country Music Entertainers.

Fans of Country and Bluegrass world all over the world are mourning the unexpected death of the iconic musician and entertainer who was well known in the 70’s. Trent played instruments and sang together with renowned Country Music singers such as Dolly Patton.

Jean Trent wrote on Facebook, “It is with tremendous sorrow and a shattered heart to say that my husband, my love, Buck Trent, went to be with Jesus this morning. “I lost my best friend, and the world lost a legend of country music and a master musician.

Trent’s solo appearances on “Hee Haw” were interspersed with his trademark “Oh, yeah!” shout. In addition to being a member of the Hee Haw “kornfield” team, Trent frequently appeared on “The Porter Wagoner Show.

In 2018, Trent, Jana Jae, Lulu Roman, and Misty Rowe performed at Bristow’s Freelance Centre for the Performing Arts as part of a “Kornfield Friends” reunion tour including “Hee Haw” alumni.
