According to authorities, a tragic incident unfolded at approximately 6:19 p.m. on Sunday at the Food Lion located on Burton Street in Mayodan. Law enforcement officers swiftly arrived at the scene in response to the distressing situation. Upon their arrival, they discovered the lifeless body of Chandler Wayne Bullins, who had succumbed to a fatal gunshot wound.
According to officers, Bullins was found lying in the parking lot, reportedly experiencing a single gunshot wound to the chest. In a tragic turn of events, Bullins was transported to a hospital in close proximity following the incident. Regrettably, he succumbed to his injuries and passed away at a later time.
