A 29-year-old man was shot and killed; the shooting is being looked into by Petersburg police. DeVaughn A. Lawrence was the victim’s name as given by the authorities.
On Tuesday, November 28, at around 4:07 a.m., authorities received a complaint of gunfire in the 100 block of Perry Street. Officers located Lawrence at the scene, where he had been pronounced deceased.
Officials from Petersburg have confirmed that the investigation is still open and is seeking information about the shooting from anyone who may have knowledge.
