On Tuesday, October 10, 2023, Gary Littleton, a resident of Lake Charles, Louisiana, and a recipient of the Jep Blake Memorial Award, passed away. After a brief illness, Gary died at home, according to a family release.
At the time, he was 61 years of age. “Rest easy Gary Littleton! ” read a post on social media announcing his passing. You were a great guy, and we will all miss you.
Ouida Joyce Haygood Littleton and the late Huey Thomas Littleton welcomed Gary Thomas Littleton into the world on May 3, 1962 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

In addition to receiving letters in three different sports and being awarded an All-State Quarterback, he graduated from Sulphur High School in 1980. The Jep Blake Memorial Award was also given to Gary.
He had the best scoring average in the state and was the District 4A MVP in baseball. He was All Southwest and All-District. To play football at McNeese State University, he received a scholarship.

After earning his degree from McNeese, Gary spent 40 years working alongside his father at Littleton Claims Service. Gary was happiest when he was outdoors hunting, fishing, or watching sports. He admitted that his father and his coach Shannon Suarez were the two most significant people in his life.
He loved spending time with his two grandchildren because they were the pride and joy of his life. He also cherished seeing his kids develop and play sports.
He was a loving father to his daughters Laura Lea Littleton and Erica Littleton Norwood as well as his son Tanner Thomas Littleton. He adored his two grandchildren, Elle Norwood and Emmie Norwood.
