Grapevine Motorcycle Accident: One dead after Sunday crash on the 5 Freeway north of Lebec Road.
On the 5 Motorway, just north of Lebec Road, an accident has left at least one person dead, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Just after 11:00 a.m. on October 8, reports began to arrive. According to the CHP, two motorcycle riders crash into the back of a pickup truck.
There were two people identified as having critical conditions. The accident obstructed the number two and three lanes, which resulted in a traffic jam.

A medical evacuation request was made for a helicopter by the Kern County Fire Department, which was also there.

Grapevine is an unincorporated community in Kern County, California, United States, at the southern end of the San Joaquin Valley. The small village is directly adjacent to Interstate 5 and consists mainly of travelers’ and roadside services.
