A woman’s body was discovered by firefighters from the Orange County Fire Authority on Friday. The body was found inside a vehicle that had become submerged in a lake in the Woodbridge neighborhood in Irvine.
An announcement regarding the discovery was made early on Friday morning, shortly after midnight.
At 9:58 p.m. on Thursday, the firemen were called to the man-made lake that is located at the intersection of East Yale Loop and West Yale Loop, according to OCFA Captain Greg Barta.
Despite the fact that the divers had identified the vehicle, they continued to search for anyone who might be inside the vehicle, according to Barta.

Fire officials stated that a helicopter and a rapid water rescue team from the Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) were aided by helicopters from the Irvine and Huntington Beach police departments.
