Darcy Renfro Obituary: Maricopa County Community College District Chief of Staff, Darcy Renfro Dies Following Battle With Cancer.
Darcy Renee Renfro of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 4, after a long, hard fight with cancer. Darcy faced this challenge with dignity, courage and unbelievable strength. She was 56.
Darcy was born in Tucson, AZ. She leaves behind her beloved, adorable 10 year old daughter Ava, husband Larry Palles, parents Bob & Carol Renfro, sister, brother-in-law & nephew Kelly,Scott & Noah Slife, Aunts, Uncles & cousins.
“With great sadness, we share the passing of our esteemed Board member, Darcy Renfro, on September 4th, 2023. Darcy was a transformational and respected leader in education and workforce development in her time at the Governor’s Office, the Center for the Future of Arizona, and ultimately Maricopa Community Colleges. We send our deepest sympathies to Darcy’s family and friends during this time. Her passing is a tremendous loss for our Chamber family and for all who knew her,” Greater Phoenix Chamber wrote in a tribute post shared on Facebook.
