Logan Dark Obituary Katy, TX: Cinco Ranch High School student killed in Thursday crash on Mason Road near Creech Elementary.

A 14-year-old who was hit and killed while riding his bike to school in Katy, TX, is now identified as Logan Dark.

According to the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office, charges have been brought against the driver who struck and killed a youngster riding a bicycle in Cinco Ranch early on Thursday.

A car driven by 20-year-old Devin Delvalle struck Dark as he crossed Mason Road near Cinco Park on his bicycle to get to school.

Delvalle stayed at the scene but was later detained under a new Texas statute that harshly punishes drivers who cause collisions that leave pedestrians at crosswalks injured or killed.

“This is a very sad and tragic incident on both sides, for the driver, and especially for the victim’s family,” Sheriff Eric Fagan said.
