Marc Toney Obituary: Marc Toney, a Mountain View, California, resident and a graduate of the University of California, Davis, has sadly gone away. On September 14, 2023, he passed away, leaving his loved ones inconsolable.
“Please remember in your thoughts and prayers former Saint Francis student Marc Toney ’13 who entered into eternal life on Thursday, September 14. Marc was a member of our track and field program and went on to pole vault at UC Davis. He was a very bright young man who had an open spirit and a continual desire to grow as a person. Please keep the Toney family in your prayers during this difficult time. Fr. Tony will dedicate our morning Mass to Marc this Wednesday, September 20, at 7:15 am, if you would like to attend.”

Marc won the Causeway Classic Dual event by impressively clearing a height of 4.98 metres (16-4″), setting a new season high. His talent carried over to the Big West Championships, where he achieved a height of 16-0.75 while finishing in fifth position.
In particular, he repeated this accomplishment by finishing second at the Mt. SAC Relays. Marc also won the pole vault at the Stanford Invitational as well as the San Francisco State Distance Carnival. Marc Toney was honoured with the title of Big West Field Athlete of the Week in April 2018 in recognition of his hard work and talent.
