According to the Green Bay Press-Gazette, Paulette Benites, who was 18 years old, and Wilder Benites-Arcibia, who was 54 years old, were driving north on State Highway 57 at approximately 8:30 p.m. when they collided with a deer in the vicinity of Gravel Pit Road in New Franken.

Following the accident, the deer was able to penetrate the glass of the sports utility vehicle, which resulted in the car crossing the median, traveling through the northbound lanes, and exiting the roadway overall.

After colliding with a tree in the forest, the vehicle came to a stop and remained there. Despite the fact that the man had sustained severe injuries as a result of the collision, he was discovered walking along the roadway when medical workers arrived.

Instead of swerving and maybe moving into oncoming traffic or hitting other objects that can cause a rollover, the safer approach that is recommended is to slow down as much as possible and let your car hit the deer.

This is the recommended choice. In the event that you hit a deer, you should immediately pull over to a safe spot off the road, check to see that everyone is okay, and then quickly summon the assistance of law enforcement by dialing 911.
