Robert Garten Car Accident: The Hartford Police Department mourns the death of one of their officials, who passed away after the fatal crash. The fatal accident that resulted in the death of Robert Garten happened late on Wednesday.
“Please join me today in the remembrance of Hartford Police Officer Robert Garten, who tragically lost his life as a victim of a motor vehicle collision perpetrated by a fleeing suspect in one incident while his partner and he responded to a separate emergency call for service. Also pray for his partner, as yet unidentified, who was seriously injured in the same collision and is hospitalised in a guarded condition.”
“Late last night, Officer Robert (Bobby) Garten, Jr., was killed in an accident while on duty. His partner, Officer Brian Kearney, was severely injured and remains hospitalised. While answering a call, their cruiser was hit by a car being driven recklessly and traveling at a high rate of speed. The 18-year-old driver has been arrested. Families of first responders never know if they will come home at day’s end. Prayers for the loved ones of these officers, as well as for their police family.”
