The 33-year-old woman who was discovered dead at a residence over the weekend is the victim of San Jose’s 31st homicide of the year, according to the coroner’s office in Santa Clara County.
San Jose resident Joanna Pinedo Gandara was discovered on Sunday at a house on the 900 block of Thelma Way with “obvious signs of physical trauma,” according to authorities. At the scene, she was pronounced deceased.
Police stated they are looking into the incident’s cause and circumstances.
