Solton Heshmaty Obituary News: Victim identified in Colorado Springs Sonic shooting.
According to a Thursday morning press release, Colorado Springs police have identified the victim who died in a Monday afternoon shooting at a Sonic restaurant in the city’s east.
According to the press release, 32-year-old Colorado Springs Solton Heshmaty was recognized by the El Paso County coroner after the autopsy.
According to authorities, at 1:43 PM on Monday, officers were alerted to a shooting at the fast food outlet off of North Chelton Road.

Heshmaty was discovered by police with at least one gunshot wound. According to report, he was taken to a local hospital where he eventually passed away.
The case is being looked at as a homicide, according to the police, even though the coroner’s office is still attempting to ascertain the reason for and method of Heshmaty’s death.

According to CSPD spokesperson Robert Tornabene, no arrests have been made however those involved have been accounted for.
“There is no danger to the community,” Tornabene said.
